Celebrating our master teacher, Kim Koopman, for being named the Kailua-Kalāheo Complex teacher of the year. Mrs. Koopman is a science teacher, department head, academic coach and so much more! We are so honored she has chosen Kalāheo as her school.

Teachers are the backbone of the American educational system. No one person has a greater impact on the education of a student than does a teacher who creates the primary learning and instructional environment. Our Kailua-Kalaheo Complex Area teacher of the year is a science teacher, academic coach, graduation advisor, a member of instructional leadership team, a member of the academic review team, she also is a member of accreditation, the bell schedule team, and has also served as a registrar's assistant. She is a science department chair and a PTSA member. Miss Kimberly Koopman, I have always been impressed with as I sent it to her even today when we were expecting a for 25 years she's walked the campus of Collin Hill High School and it's our colleagues said she's bleed blue and orange but we know she loved you want to see in the world is what your message is and a student has death of motivation hindered my performance that time she motivated me to keep going show me deleted me and would remind me that I would go far in life and I know that this was just one student and there have been many call the office dead that she exemplify what it means to be a master teacher and respected leader in our community and our campus with students always at the center of our School faculty meetings with positive energy add Mustang Pride would most impressive me about her is her ability to think positive and never lose sight of the why are the students as she sir and how should one eat it every student. How can I help it's her model and she demonstrates this quality inside day in and day out in the Kalaheo Kailua conflict are so proud to present our teacher of the year to miss Kimberly Koopman I appreciate and very grateful to April for writing for the wonderful weather makes me cry yes I been I call you I had amazing student I'm so proud to watch them as they are out doing amazing things for us and I really think that the students we have are going to make a good future for all of us
