Mrs. Martha Morrissey

Welcome to US and World History!
I encourage parents and students to visit Mrs. Morrissey's Kalaheo Web Page, Jupiter Grades and Google Classroom for important academic information about our class. As your child's teacher, it is my goal to provide a safe, clean and adaptable learning environment that will challenge all my students, based on their academic needs and strength, and equip them for success during this unprecedented COVID-impacted school year. I am excited to encourage each teen to be the best he or she can be, and I look forward to building a working partnership with parents and students alike to ensure academic achievement remains in the forefront of our 20-21 high school experience.
If you have questions and concerns about your child's achievements in history class, please contact me directly. Your child is important and no phone call is an imposition (unless it is after 8 pm or before 7 am). My direct cell phone number is in your child's course syllabus. Please add me as a contact in your phone. If there is no answer when you call, please leave a message. I will get back to you as soon as possible, usually within a few hours.
As Kalaheo begins this challenging school year, please know that I pledge to be a positive teacher and positive influence on your student. Together we will be resilient and we will grow. I am extremely proud of the variety of academic experiences Kalaheo is making available during the 2020-2021 school year, and I look forward to working with you and your teen during this pivotal time in our state and in our nation. The best days are ahead of us.
