2012 AP Exam Fee Collection
Students currently enrolled in an Advanced Placement (AP) course should have received from an AP teacher, the AP Exam Fee Collection letter and Bulletin. It is an expectation that all AP students take their respective AP exams. Cost for AP exams are $87. Deadline to pay Ms. Inouye is March 8, 2012. Free and reduced eligible students qualify for an AP fee reduction as well. See Ms. Inouye for more information.
Advanced Placement (AP) Parent and Student Meeting
Students interested in taking an Advanced Placement (AP) course in school year 2012-2013 must attend and sign in at the Mandatory AP Parent and Student meeting held on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at 6:30 pm in the cafeteria. At the meeting AP teachers and counselors will discuss the expectations of taking an AP course and enrollment requirements. The Kalaheo High School AP Enrollment Requirements and Course Expectations form will be distributed at the meeting. This form, in addition to attending the mandatory student and parent meeting is required to register for any AP course. Any questions, see Mrs. Kalaukoa in F102 or your counselor.
Financial Aid Night
Parents of Kalaheo SENIORS are encouraged to attend Financial Aid Night on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 at 6:30 pm in the Kalaheo Library. Come and learn what it takes to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) 2012-2013 form and hear about other scholarship opportunities available for college.
ASVAB Reminder!!
To all students who signed up for the ASVAB, don't forget to report to the Kalaheo Library on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 at 8 am. Any student who arrives late to school will report to class. If you don't remember if you signed up, ask any teacher to check if your name is on the list.

PSAT Testing Reminder!
All 10th graders and 9th/11th graders who purchased a PSAT ticket will be testing on Wed., Oct. 12, 2011 at 8:00 am at various locations on campus. Students should ask teachers where to report for testing. Students need a good night sleep, eat breakfast, and come to school on time. Late testers will attend classes as scheduled.
Yearbook Picture Taking--Make-Up Day
Make-up Day for yearbook picture taking is on September 30 during recess or lunch in the cafeteria. This is the last chance for underclassmen to be in the yearbook.
PSAT Ticket Sales for the 9th and 11th graders
Students in grades 9 and 11 who are interested in taking the PSAT (practice SAT) on Wed., Oct. 12, 2011 from 8 am to 11:30 am should come to the College and Career Center, room H-208 to purchase their PSAT ticket for $14 CASH. All 10th graders will be required to take the PSAT. 10th graders are FREE thanks to our partnership with the National Math+Science Initiative who is paying for the Class of 2014. Tickets will be on sale until Sept. 16.
